Note: As of September 2020, the park is open, yet some areas near the waterfall are closed off. The bugs were really bad. From the Hogg’s Falls parking lot follow the long loop north until it reaches a turnoff to the north.
Nice trail with lots of ups and downs. Not too technical, some hills make it "moderate" but only big one is at Eugenia falls so easy to go at your own pace.

The Bruce Trail was instrumental in the Escarpment being named a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve by the United Nations in 1990 - one of only twelve such reserves in all of Canada. Old Baldy Conservation Area and Hoggs Falls are also within 9 mi (15 km).

The site opens in early May and closes December 1 (weather permitting). Lots of inclines and declines! But, we were excited, pumped up on coffee, and perhaps a tad overconfident. 5.7 km from Hoggs Falls Situated in Grey Highlands, this vacation home is 0.1 mi (0.1 km) from Eugenia Lake and within 6 mi (10 km) of Eugenia Falls Conservation Area and Beaver Valley Ski Club. Took us just under 4hrs at a good pace and a stop for a snack at Hogg’s fall. Picnic Areas : There are picnic tables.

This section of Bruce Trail is part of the Upper Beaver Valley Extension, a planned rerouting of the Bruce Trail onto its optimum route.

My legs were pretty tired after this one. Can't get very close to Eugenia Falls, just a lookout from the top so hiked to Hoggs Falls. The hog fall was great! I'd say it was pretty easy some spots were muddy due to rain but a great variation of uphill and down! Glad we did, hidden little falls off the beaten path. It then turns right into forest and returns to the parking lot. At the extreme south end of the Beaver Valley near where the Boyne River joins the Beaver, is “Grey County’s best-kept secret,” Hogg’s Falls. After crossing forest and farmland, it descends to the Upper Valley road to cross a wetland and then climbs to a beautiful lookout before following a track east uphill to Eugenia Falls at the community of Eugenia. Highly recommended for people that love the challenge, Good hike! The bugs were really bad. But you can access the Bruce trail from this location, you just aren’t going to see the river or waterfalls you might have expected.

This urban nature park in Ottawa also offers historical displays, as well as a renovated heritage pavilion. Definitely bring fly spray, and if planning to swim in Hoggs Falls bring sandals or water shoes. Can get right up to Hoggs Falls, both the top and bottom of the falls.
The trail was great! Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
Hog's Back Park is a nice little park in the middle of the city. Be a part of our trail community! My legs were pretty tired after this one. During the construction of the Rideau Canal (1826–1832), one of the most challenging dam-building projects took place at Hog’s Back. Be prepared to climb a small rope to get to the bottom of Hoggs!
The Ontario Trails Council is a provincial organization and registered charity. It is 840 km long, with over 440 km of side trails. In 2005, the Beaver Valley Bruce Trail Club built two new loop trails that will be part of this addition and allowaccess to the Nature Reserve. The actual trail was closed (probably due to COVID and vegetation regrowth).
Nice well marked trail. Couldnt really stop for a break at all or they would be all over you. A good trek to hoggs falls.

Short little hike to the falls and impressive size of the falls. The falls are picturesque and since I am a romantic in my heart, I like looking at and reading all the love locks that are on the fence by the falls.

This is an amazing trail, there is a little elevation (at least by Ontario standards) but the trail is well makred and beautiful.
