Occasionally I still suffer from it, and I want to attribute that to cravings. Motrin and Advil do absolutely nothing to help. If I drink any more water I’ll piss myself. I tried to quit many times. Hey guys, really enjoyed reading thru a lot of this. For me, one thing I noticed more as I came out of fog/depression in the mid 200’s was that normal everyday things made me smile more, I got excited about the little things in life – friends, family, cup of coffee, cold beer. If you are sick and going through the funk that makes it even stronger. Never had a problem before but has gotten as bad as me having to call ambulance cuz couldn’t focus or come out of it. I do remember reading there is some science behind why you need LESS caffeine/coffee when you’re off dip/nicotine but I can’t find the article at the moment. May 10,2017 was my last chew. It is not that chewing tobacco put sugar into your blood stream; it is more of a drug interaction of the stimulant effect of nicotine that affects the blood sugar levels.

I stopped multiple times cold turkey for months. The only cure for reflux is diet and be prepared as you will lose a lot of the normal foods you eat. I’m having really bad headaches so far.
After three months I am completely fine and I enjoy new life. Like there is stuff that needs to come out but doesn’t, But swallowing is normal? Nothing feels real.

I’m 30. I’m on day four of quitting cold turkey. Say dude, don’t let it get to you. Still I am feeling mouth pain and gum pain and also a sore n painful throat. It’s a grind to start feeling “normal” again but you will 100% get there if all you do is stay strong and not dip.
I had some of my worst days after 100 days. I’m still emotionally flat and sometimes feel like I could lie in bed and stare at my ceiling all day. It is normal. I thought at 172 i would be completely fine. IT IS worth it, i just completed my first year of being quit after 30 years of dipping and it most definitely IS worth it.Hang in there Scott.
